A whole new Explore page
For starters, the Explore page is getting a fresh new look. Following the announcement users will be able to follow specific hashtags, Instagram is now making it even easier to discover posts by adding categories to the Explore page.
As Verge reports: “The Explore page will now feature buttons on the top of the page in a carousel, giving users the option to swipe through subjects like animals, photography, and architecture to see more posts about that particular topic.”
For individual users, this means more time spent in app and less time spent hunting for interesting content while businesses will be able to get in front of their customers more easily. If you were struggling to get on the Explore page before, it might just be easier if your posts belong to a popular category. This is good news for brands who already have a strong niche and a specific target audience since your posts are now more likely to appear in front of the right people.

If you’re running an Instagram business account, this feature might seem obsolete but we’re very excited to see how you will make use of it.
